So, I made this page primarily not to spam my followers (a post every hour and many of you will start considering unfollowing me lol – that’s what I WOULD do). Check back here for hourly updates on my readathon progress. I’m going audio (mostly) this time, because it starts at 9pm for me and these days I have been falling asleep at random hours if I sit down to read. My goals are to finish/read more of my current reads
mainly A Dance with Dragons, since I have like 23 hours worth of audio to get through (and I listen at 1.35X), which is nearly perfect for this readathon.
Let’s begin with the GRAND challenge
It is what it sounds like – a book rec (published in) from each of the 10 years that the readathon has been around, i.e., from 2007 to 2017.
[Note that there is no book from 2017 because the year isn’t done yet and that would make it 11 books instead of 10]
Hour 0 challenge
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I’m reading from Japan!
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to finishing A Dance with Dragons
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
My go-to snack: cereal
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I have slept for 13 hours today?
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I hope to read for the whole 24 hours this time and actually participate in the readathon.

Hour 2 mini-challenge
This #Readathon, where will the stories take you?
Today I’ll be starting in Kansas City, exploring a murder mystery with Libby Day, then move to cocktails with Daenerys Targaryen in Meereen as she prepares to get married again (I think), followed by hanging out with some other characters in Westeros; if I have time, I will stop by in Arrod to see join Wil as she is being exiled from her kingdom.
