Readathoning in October 2020

Ah, October – the month for Halloween-themed or at least horror-themed readathons, but I will not be able to take part in those this year. I am still not quite there yet with my reading time, so I am taking on more ‘casual’ readathons where you can set your own time and number goals.

Page-A-Thon (month-long)

A casual readathon where the goal is pagecounts! There are teams (according to what season you were born in) and rules include reading shorts, graphic novels and also fanfiction! There are also bonus points for challenges. I am participating as a Summer!

Rules are in the spreadsheet

OwnTober (month-long)

Hosted by Books and Munches, this challenge is to read physical books you own. I have to be honest, I think I’ve only read a couple of physical books in this entire year, so my TBR stack would probably glare at me if it could. Anyway, because I have had this series for a long time, I plan to read the Graceling Realm series in this month.

Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) Fire (Graceling Realm, #2) Bitterblue (Graceling Realm, #3)
Graceling || Fire || Bitterblue

Off The Grid (Oct 16-18)

A chill readathon where you have to go off-the-grid, as in, avoid tech to focus on reading. Guess I will need it, as my reading time has been cut down by TV time these past couple of months.

I don’t have a TBR decided because I rarely ever follow it, so I will just aim for 4 books in this weekend!

Which readathons do you plan to take part in this month?

  1. These readathons sound so fun! I may just join in for the Off The Grid Readathon because I’ll be having mid-semester break around the time and it’ll be perfect to get my reading on track!
