Book Blogger Hop was created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and is currently hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s question is:
What is a book that has helped you get through your lowest point in life?
@ruthsic
It isn’t just one book, but the entire The Raven Cycle. Rereading it was a big help during some low points in the past few years.
@spiravirgo
I think there’s been a lot of books throughout the years that help me become who I am as I grew older. Coraline by Neil Gaiman helped me learn that being afraid is alright and to be courageous is to admit it and still keep going foreword. Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson taught me that it’s okay to open yourself to people even if you were hurt before and it’d always be challenging to trust someone once again. Dune by Frank Hebert changed the way I look into things from a narrow way perspective with religion, people, the universe and myself.
Great answers! I had trouble with this prompt, so I went with books that distract me during low periods giving me a chance to look at things more clearly and come up with how to go forward. ❤️
I really liked the books you picked – they were pretty unique! Coraline is also a great book that made me fall in love with Neil Gaiman.
