Episode 7 – Barriers
“Dr Seabrooke deals with Jewish vampires in a christian world, Dryads and human hayfever, and talks long-distance romance and meet-cutes.”
Definitely hit the nail on the head with the Jewish vampire thing! Reminded me a bit of Simon Lewis from Shadowhunters having a different reaction, compared to Christian vampires.
Episode 8 – A Relationship without legs
“Dr Seabrooke discusses how to keep friends and partners engaged when the partner isn’t visible, helps a mermaid make good decisions about her body, and talks through commitment with a flighty ghost and her partner.”
I loved Dr Seabrooke’s inventive take on solving the non-visible partner thing with modern technology! As for the mermaid story, which felt like reading a r/relationships post (the usual solution for which is ‘dump him’), I was also like ‘this needs a whole man disposal service’. Honestly, asking for more adjustments from someone who is already making so many adjustments towards a relationship, expecting to lose one sense for it? Nah, bye!

I honestly thought that STAN would be running, but Betula taking an interest in local politics is a turn I didn’t expect! Still, I think it would be interesting to see her be a politician, considering her side job *eyes*

This episode had me deep in my feels *clenches fist* M’Tendere’s and Jet’s personal arcs and their remorse over that incident 20 years ago? Jet being declared aro-ace in canon? That ending? That beautiful song????? *sob*
