The last of these posts, folks! I had a couple of new challenges bookmarked for adding in 2020 that I hadn’t done before, but ultimately decided to not do them and instead do more monthly challenges that I don’t usually get to do.
You can see previous week’s wrap-up posts here and here.
Audiobook Challenge

Goals: 47/50 audiobooks
I was aiming for Marathoner, but forgot that my audiobook access depends on Scribd, which I couldn’t use for a few months because I had to pause my membership on account of no funds *shrug* but I still managed to go hard on the months I did have it. Currently I am on one audiobok and I am planning to finish up the year with rereads of the rest of the Raven Cycle, so I might make it to 50?
Will I do it again in 2020?
Yep!
Rules, in short:
- Runs January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020. You can join at any time.
- The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2020 than you did in 2018.
- Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
- ANY genres count.
- Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
- You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc.
I am, again, aiming for Marathoner (50+ books), with hopes that I can use Scribd *fingers crossed* Sign up and other details here.
Year of the Asian Reading Challenge
Progress: 37/51 books
Okay so I was aiming for Bengal Tiger (50+ books) but reached only Giant Panda (31-40 books).
Will I do it again in 2020?
I’d love to! A sign-up post hasn’t gone up yet, so when it will, I will update my page.
Monthly Keyword Reading Challenge
Progress: 8/12 keywords
Oh, I keep failing at this challenge whenever I do it. I just don’t remember to add specific books or keep track.

Will I do it again in 2019?
Nope. Like I said, I don’t keep track or add the books. I think, as a year-long challenge prompts don’t work for me. I prefer prompts only in monthly or weekly challenges, going by my track record of challenges where I have chances of succeeding.
And so, that’s all for this week! Next week, I will have wrap-ups and sign-ups (hopefully) for some more of the year-long challenges.
Whenever I see your challenge wrap ups it motivates me so much to see how well you always do and how much you manage to read. I was eyeing some of this for 2020 and seeing your opinion helps a lot.
I’m sorry you had to pause your Scribd membership for a while but it is amazing how well you did despite not having it for a couple months! I was considering doing the challenge but I do not have access to that many audiobooks so I am still debating. I was also hesitant with the Keyword Challenge because I feel that, like you say, I would forget about it.
I wish you good luck on all your challenges in 2020! I am sure you’ll rock again and I cannot wait to see your progress throughout the year.
