Top Ten Tuesday: Alternative Book Titles

Top Ten Tuesday banner

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, wherein each week bloggers list out their Top Ten.

This week’s prompt was originally Books I’d Give Different Titles To (and tell us what title you’d pick!) but I didn’t really want to do that because (a) I am hardly creative about book titles, and (b) authors sometimes put a lot of work into the title. So instead, I thought, I’d go something like Also Known As for my favorite books. It’s all in good fun, and I am probably spoiling some of these, but basically what it is, these books can also be called as:

A Darker Shade of Magic AKA What the Hell is up with Creepy London?

A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1)

The Witch With No Name AKA Why is this MY problem?

The Witch with No Name (The Hollows, #13)

The Infinite Sea AKA Does Evan have Nine Lives?

The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave, #2)

The Young Elites AKA You Always Gotta Look Out for #1

The Young Elites (The Young Elites, #1)

The Serpent King AKA Keep Tissues Handy

The Serpent King

Red Queen AKA How Dare You? I Was Rooting For You!

Red Queen (Red Queen, #1)

Nevernight AKA Murder Teens go to Stabby School

Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle, #1)

Blue Lily, Lily Blue AKA We Get a Wine Aunt

Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3)

Cruel Beauty AKA Hatred is also a Kink

Cruel Beauty (Cruel Beauty Universe, #1)

Revenge Wears Prada AKA 2 Devil 2 Prada

Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns

Parasite AKA The Way to your Head is through your Stomach

Parasite (Parasitology, #1)

  1. Cool list! My favorite is ‘Murder Teens Go to Stabby School.’ I also like ‘Murder is Also a Kink.’ They definitely grab one’s attention more than the original titles! 😀
