Much like September, I am staring down a galley queue which means I am skipping all the Halloween-themed challenge-based readathons (the Hocus Pocus readathon was so tempting but I can’t *sob*). I will still be reading some creepy books this month to get into the spirit of Halloween, though!
OwnTober (month-long)
Hosted by Books and Munches, this challenge is to read books on your physical TBR, which often get neglected in our race to read galleys. Even though I have that galley queue staring me down, I do want to put some dent in my physical TBR so I decided that I must read at least 3 books from my physical shelves this month.

Off the Grid Readathon (Oct 11-13)
The theme of this readathon you ask?? Go “Off The Grid!”. So many times we set aside a block of time to read and we end up spending the vast majority of that time getting distracted by our phones and social media. So – the point of this is to spend 3 days where we set our phones and other distractions aside and JUST READ!
I’m setting my goals at 6 books like last time! No TBR since I’m leaving it to my mood.
Boneathon (Oct-Dec)
Readathon for The Bone Season series (first three books only, of course!) hosted by Ashleigh on Twitter and Instagram. I have only read the first book, so I think this will be good incentive for me to read the next two! Details here:

Dewey’s 24 Hr Readathon (Oct 26-27)
24-Hr long readathon during which you can read for as long and as much as you like! Starts at 8am EST. As always I’m setting my goals at 3 books – that’s my record in 24 hours and I keep wanting to break it 😀
TBR
No set TBR. I am going to mood read this one!
Which readathons do you plan to take part in this month?
There’s so many read-a-thons happening this October, it’s crazy. I LOVE each one of them but I think the most smart thing will be not to participate this year, I’ve been participating in everything lately, I need a break 😅😅
