Shouting from the Shelftops #13

Shouting from the Shelftops is a bimonthly(-ish) feature to gush over book news that come to my attention, to celebrate good news amidst whatever the year is delivering to you. The basic mood for these posts is just Enthusiastic Screaming.

SO much exciting news this week, folks!

Of Curses and Kisses (St. Rosetta's Academy, #1)Remember Sandhya Menon’s Of Curses and Kisses? It has a cover!

Of Curses and Kisses has a cover and isn’t it cute?! Also, the plot, guise, I am so interested! I mean, I was already invested because Indian Princess whoo! But then the plot also has her making this guy from an enemy family fall in love with her (so that she can break his heart; it is for revenge for his family targeting her younger sister) but she is also falling in love with him, and did I say it is a Beauty and the Beast retelling????? Oh yeah, there’s an excerpt, too, for those who can’t wait until release (I haven’t read it yet because I usually never do)

The Nemesis (Diabolic, #3)I just noticed Diabolic #3 has a name and a cover?

Well since Goodreads doesn’t help you keep track of series you have read and now that Fictfact is gone, I must admit me not noticing it was okay. But I screamed when I saw the cover! It is so pretty, and while it doesn’t exactly match the color scheme of the previous two covers (they were both more on the grey side), I kinda like it. With how Empress ended, the vibrancy of this one is justified. I just wish there was more news about it!

Tiny Pretty Things (Tiny Pretty Things, #1)Tiny Pretty Things is coming to Netflix!

This was totally scream-worthy news because I fucking loved this duology, okay?! For those who don’t know, it is a tense mystery drama set at a ballet school, and it has all that you expect. It is amazing and you should read it (TW for eating disorders), and then watch the 10-episode series coming next year. In fact, I think it may be time to consider a re-read for me, myself!

Going VintageGoing Vintage is getting a movie adaptation?!

Okay first I have to tell you about this delightful contemporary book! It is about a teen, who heart-broken, decides to swear off technology altogether! She decides to ‘go vintage’, as in, live life like her grandmother would’ve because she thinks her grandmother didn’t have the same problems she did with technology. It is mostly light, and a comfortable read. Anyway, it has been picked for a movie adaptation, yay, so I am interested in seeing how they bring it alive!

Tricia Levenseller is going to write a new series!

I mean, I still have to read her two recent book (one released, one unreleased) but a girl can get excited about a potential new duology, right??? It is about a blacksmith who makes a truth-extracting sword (the Mortal Sword, anyone??) and then she has to protect it from Bad People.

CirceCirce is getting an adaptation y’all~!!!

Spring 2020 is going to bring an 8-episode series for Circe!!!! And yeah, sure, I haven’t read the book yet but I am excited nevertheless. Also, this is a good reminder that I need to read it ASAP! It is in fact on my tbr-next shelf, as in, books on the ASAP tier, and I AM doing Avid August this month, so this is just the Fates telling me to hurry up~

Which news got you the most excited?!
