Shouting from the Shelftops #12

Shouting from the Shelftops is a bimonthly(-ish) feature to gush over book news that come to my attention, to celebrate good news amidst whatever the year is delivering to you. The basic mood for these posts is just Enthusiastic Screaming.

What’s up folks! It’s been a month since I shouted from my shelf tops and the news has accumulated!

LovelessAlice Oseman’s Loveless has a cover!

Oseman’s upcoming novel, Loveless, about a young woman exploring her aroace identity has a cover, designed by Ryan Hammond! Leading up to the cover reveal, there were hints as to what the color might be, and I think the purple makes a beautiful choice! The cover also matches up with her other novels, so the set would look glorious together!

Umm, did you see the new covers for the Debutante series?

Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ Debutante series is getting a revamped cover for the first book, Little White Lies, to match the cover for the sequel, Deadly Little Scandals and as much as I liked the first book’s original cover, I love the look of these!

The second especially gives me a little Pretty Little Liars vibe -tell me I’m not the only one who thought that!

The Witchlands are also getting new covers!

Okay, it is only for the boxset, but the artist for the Bloodwitch has also now designed covers for the first two books, Truthwitch and Windwitch! Together they look awesome, don’t you think?

Night of the Dragon (Shadow of the Fox, #3)When did the third Shadow of the Fox book even get announced?

Usually I am on top of series I love, so I was delighted (and a bit frustrated with myself) to see that the third book in the series already has a title, Night of the Dragon, and a cover! Guess Twitter’s algorithm works against my stalk-all-author-news goals?

Girls with Razor Hearts (Girls with Sharp Sticks, #2)Girls with Sharp Sticks has a sequel!

Okay, this one I can forgive myself a little for, because I haven’t yet read the book, so it is technically not ‘on my radar’ for book news, but I can’t help gush over the sequel‘s cover! I kinda love the whole ‘broken facade’ theme going on with these covers!

Marie Rutkoski is writing a new series!

Called The Midnight Lie, it is about a girl in an oppressive elistist society who is advised by a traveler that the High Kith, who reserve all pleasures for themselves, possess magic that she can seek. Also it is a queer romantic fantasy so I am especially looking forward to it!

Which news got you the most excited?!
