The Pancake Book Tag

The Pancake Book Tagh

I found this tag on Drizzle & Hurricane Books, and it was created by Becky @ Blogs of a Bookaholic.

Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1)Pretty much everything Laini Taylor writes is touched by beautiful prose. And it is especially magical because most of her books deal with war in some way, yet it is never romanticized.

Jackaby (Jackaby, #1)Abigail Rook is not only a detective assistant, but she is witty and clever. While Jackaby has his Sight to help him solve cases, she does it merely with her human eyes, and considering how new she is to his profession? It is damn admirable.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3)Actually it is all of the books in the series that I find soothing to me to read at bedtime in audio, but I love the prologue of Blue Lily Lily Blue the best!

A Winter's Promise (The Mirror Visitor Quartet, #1)One of my favorite reads from 2018, it was different and it kept me on my toes even while reading it, so obviously after finishing it, too, I was still in the world of the book.

My Lady Jane (The Lady Janies, #1)It is a laugh out loud comedy, with an adorable arranged marriage romance, some revamping of history, and cute animals! Honestly, it indulged me in every way – it is delightful, the humor is actually funny, the plot is awesome, and I loved the occasional fourth wall breaks.

The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4)Declan Lynch may be one of the most complicated characters in The Raven King! I mean, he comes off as an asshole older brother at first glance, and then you are kinda like ‘with a brother like Ronan who can blame him’, but then you are also like ‘with a family like the Lynches that childhood was ROUGH’. I don’t entirely sympathize with him, but I love his complexity.

White Space (Dark Passages, #1)Absolutely confusing, absolutely mind-bending! (And I mean that in a good way)
Poison Study (The Study Series, #1)Age difference romances are not something I like, nor ones where there is a power gap, but Maria V Snyder made it work in this series.

The Young Elites (The Young Elites, #1)Teren is just freaky…

For a Muse of Fire (For a Muse of Fire, #1)There’s racial diversity, neurodiversity, queer rep, and so much more in A Muse of Fire
